32 Bit Thinking... Ques 1

What is the basic difference between Electrical and Electronics Engineering???

Guys this question was asked to me in TCS interview.

Actually, there are two major differences that account for the answer.

-> First and foremost is.., Electrical deals with or say, is worked with high voltage(> 1V) & low frequency(As in 230V,50Hz) and Electronics deals with low voltage(<> And the second difference is, Electrical deals with electron motion only and Electronics deals with electron motion as well as other characteristics or properties of an electron.

More answers for the question are welcome in the comments section..
Best regards.

Well electrical == nerver wracking
electronics == mind whacking

basic diff.electrical deals with passive components.R,C and which dont require external power src.
where as electronics use active components like valves,transistors,ICs diodes...which requires external power src.

as far as i consider electrical and electronics take a parallel path (the difference is only the milestones they reach in their path), you can see a lot of common papers in both the departments like digital electronics, electronics circuit, electrical machines, LIC, MUP and a lot more.. the basic difference is they will learn in depth about electrical machines like ac and dc motor, power transmission and distribution. Whereas a person in electronics branch will learn in depth about electronic circuits, digital electronics, microcontrollers and microprocessor.You can get a clear idea by comparing Siemens (electronics core) and Suzlon (electrical core).Anyway they both will reach the same destination called IT!!

electrical is study of current..study of motion of electrons but electronics tells the electron the path it has to take or the way in which it has to move

in electrical we need all big gigantic huge machine to control.....

but in electronics we need only small small things to contol it.....
